Privacy policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what Aansoo.com (“we”, “us”) does and does not do with information when you use the site. It applies to all pages on aansoo.com.

Information you type into our tools

Everything you type into a calculator, quiz, generator, journal or tracker is processed in your web browser. It is not sent to our servers. Journals, trackers, saved letters and favourites are stored in your browser’s localStorage on your own device. We cannot see or retrieve this data. Clearing your browser data, or using the “Clear all” buttons inside tools, deletes it.

Information we may collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider and analytics services may automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and referring pages. We use this information to keep the site secure, understand which pages are useful and improve the experience.

Contact form and email

Our contact page opens your own email app to send a message to Sobi@aansoo.com. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we do not add you to mailing lists or share your details.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small amount of local storage to remember your theme choice and your cookie preference. Third-party services such as advertising and analytics providers may set their own cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

Translation (Google Translate)

The language selector uses the free Google Translate website widget. Google’s translation script is loaded only if you choose a language (or chose one on a previous visit). When you translate a page, the text on that page, including any text you have typed into a tool and that is displayed on the page, is sent to Google to be translated, under Google’s Privacy Policy. Your chosen language is remembered in your browser (local storage and a googtrans cookie). If you prefer that nothing is sent to Google, do not use the translation feature; the site is fully usable in English.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display ads served by Google and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Because we do not store the content you enter into tools, the personal data we hold is limited to technical logs and any emails you send us.

Children’s privacy

Our site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Some pages link to other websites, such as crisis-support directories. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS where your host supports it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but because tool content stays on your device, the risk to your entries is limited to who has access to your device.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
